Basement Wall Repair

Basement Wall Repair

SERVICE OVERVIEW

Bowing basement walls are very common in areas in the southeast and are due to the expansive nature of the soil your basement wall is constructed against. An unstable foundation wall, if left unattended, can result in structural damage to your home. When expanding soil creates pressure against basement walls, helical anchors are strategically installed to stabilize the wall and prevent further movement and damage to your investment.

The CHANCE® basement wall repair solution is relatively simple and is achieved by drilling a small hole for the anchor rod to pass through the basement wall, and then excavating a hole outside in order to place the bearing plate. A small high torque hydraulic motor then rotates the anchor system into the soil which will carry the load and alleviate the expansive pressure.

Once a length and a predetermined torque are achieved, the anchor is terminated and a plate is mounted inside the basement wall to hold the wall in place.
